Position: Junior Trader / Trade Administrator
Description:
Jov is looking for a qualified candidate to fulfill the role of a Junior Trader. This position is one that is subject to numerous tight deadlines throughout the day and is responsible for a wide array of duties.
Generally, the position is a support position for trading and trading operations, and involves trade execution and trade record-keeping duties. Other specific duties include those listed below:
- updating records of daily portfolio positions,
- conveying trade details to custodians, valuation agents and other parties,
- prepare trade rebalancing spreadsheets and blotters,
- confirming f/x and borrow rates when needed,
- setting up broker accounts when required,
- preparation of various weekly and monthly reports on such things as leverage, allocations, performance, position comparisons, etc.
- initiating wires and cash movements,
- facilitating client redemptions,
- process proxy votes and corporate actions, and
- such other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
The successful candidate should have the following:
- Canadian Securities Course,
- Excel skills (including the use of Macros),
- Good communication skills,
- Good organizational skills,
- Aptitude for mathematics.
